A note from the founder

I wanted somewhere I could say the things I could not say out loud.

Spill Sisters began with a feeling many of us know: something is sitting heavy on your mind, you want to talk about it, and yet no one in your real life feels like the right person to tell.

There are friends and family I can talk to. But some things feel too personal, embarrassing, petty, or complicated to say to someone who knows me. Once you say something, you cannot always take it back. You might worry they will judge you, tell somebody, or see you differently afterward.

Sometimes those thoughts shrink with time. Other times they grow louder because they have nowhere to go. I started wishing for a place I could open on my phone and simply say it - not under my real name, not as a perfectly polished story, and not to anyone whose reaction would follow me into real life.

You can disagree. You can give a reality check. But you can still be human about it.

That is what I want Spill Sisters to be: an 18+ community where people can anonymously talk about what is actually going on, then hear from others who may understand because they have lived through something similar. It is not a substitute for professional support. It is a place for perspective, honesty, and connection.

A post might receive 20 replies. It might receive one. Sometimes one person saying “I felt this too,” “you are overthinking this,” or “you are not overreacting” is enough to shift the weight of a hard day.

I want people to open Spill Sisters when something is heavy, type it out, post it, and feel even slightly better. If someone is sitting there thinking, “I cannot tell anyone this,” I hope their next thought is: “I will just Spill it.”

An anonymous note from the founder
